The pleurotus eryngii is grown on a sterilized straw substrate and should be lightly covered with agricultural land, not with peat. It needs indirect brightness which allows it to take on the dark brown color typical of this mushroom. Excellent to be enjoyed as a side dish to meat dishes or as an appetizer.
